Sanjeev Kumar is a 1992-batch Indian Forest Service officer serving as PCCF & Head of Forest Force, Jharkhand. With extensive experience in forest management, biodiversity conservation, sustainable livelihoods and environmental policy, his work also focuses on ethnobotany, traditional knowledge and community-based conservation. He has promoted rural livelihoods through initiatives such as silk rearing and lac cultivation, while encouraging community participation in forest protection across Jharkhand.

A lifelong admirer of music and nature, he pays tribute to legendary singer Mukesh, whose timeless voice and songs continue to inspire generations.
